Age:
Minimum age of driver – 22 years old, must have a driving licence with a minimum of 36 months.
Young car hire drivers till 25 years old – €25 young driver fee per rental.

Documents:
The renter must hold valid driving license with at least one year since being issued and passport or identity card.
Booking:
Shall be done in advance in order to guarantee vehicle availability.
Payment:
The payment methods accepted by DRIVE4EVER are: debit card, MBWAY, credit card, cash.
We do not accept American Express payments.
Cheques are not accepted.
For deposit or excess purposes, a credit card in the name of the rental contract holder is always required; pre-paid cards are not accepted.
Deposit:
A deposit based on the rental period can be requested at any time.
By subscribing to SCDW, the CUSTOMER reduces the value of the excess depending on the group and characteristics of the rental, in the event of damage to the exterior of the Vehicle. SCDW does not cover damage to the tyres, windows, locks or interior of the Vehicle.
SCDW – Super Collision Damage Waiver
The Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) is an optional coverage that reduces the customer’s financial liability (excess) by up to 50% in the event of damage to the vehicle body.

Exclusions
All damages resulting from misuse, negligence, or violation of the rental agreement are the sole responsibility of the customer.
In such cases, all repair costs and compensation for vehicle downtime will be fully charged to the customer, even if the SCDW has been purchased.
Theft
In the event of theft, the customer must:
Report the incident immediately to the competent authorities
Provide the original vehicle key to DRIVE4EVER
Failure to comply with these requirements will result in the customer being held fully responsible for the loss or theft of the vehicle.
TOP COVER – Full Protection:
The TOP COVER is an optional premium protection that reduces the customer’s financial liability (excess) to zero in case of body damage to the vehicle, tyres, windows and locks.
Exclusions
The TOP COVER does not apply in cases of:
Negligence or misuse of the vehicle
Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Violation of traffic laws or rental agreement terms
Loss or damage of keys
Incorrect fuel usage
Mechanical misuse (including clutch and transmission damage)
Interior damage
Damage resulting from reckless driving
In such cases, all repair costs and related expenses will be fully charged to the customer.
Additional Conditions
In the event of damage, the customer must:
Inform the rental company immediately
Complete all required documentation (accident report, police report if applicable)
Failure to comply may result in loss of coverage.
TWL – Tyres, Windows and Locks
TWL – Tyres, Windows and Locks is an optional coverage that limits the customer’s liability in case of damage to the vehicle’s tyres and wheels.
Exclusions
The TWL does not cover:
Negligence or misuse of the vehicle
Driving on unsuitable or unpaved roads
Damage caused by accidents due to reckless driving
In such cases, all repair costs will be fully charged to the customer.
All damage resulting from misuse of the vehicle, as well as all costs of repair and compensation for the time the vehicle is stranded, are the sole responsibility of the customer, even in the case of a Super CDW subscription.
In the event of theft, the customer will be responsible for reporting the incident to the competent authorities as well as the return of the original key to DRIVE4EVER. Otherwise, the customer will be responsible, including theft or loss of the car.

The prices include unlimited public liability and colision with a deductable amount of 1.300€ (Group B), 1500€ (Groups C), 1.500€ ( Group D), 1700€ (Group C1), 2000€ (Groups D1, E1) , 3000€ (Group J)

Use Of The A22 Motorway – Via do Infante:
According to the new legislation of the Portuguese government Decree n84-C/2022, starting January 8, it is mandatory that all car rentals have the freeway toll device because all tolls will be charged to the car rental company. Therefore, it is mandatory that all customers must have a credit card to be able to pick up their car so that we can charge the tolls accordingly. Using the freeway involves paying electronic tolls, the corresponding amount is charged from the customer’s credit card, plus administrative fees of €1.85 / day per rental day up to a maximum of €18.50 and a minimum of 5,55 euros per contract and is applied to all customers. According to the Portuguese decree law Nr. 190-2013 Updated in 2022. The credit card provided will be charged for the amount used for the tolls within 14 days.
After hours:
Services carried out between 20:00 and 08:00 are subject to a nightly surcharge of 30 euros.
Tolerance for car return:
After 2h tolerance, it will be charged 1 more day.
Fuel to Fuel
Customers may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level upon picking up the vehicle.
If a customer chooses not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, they will be charged the value of 2€ + VAT per litre, which is typically above the local pump price.
A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.
Booking cancellation:
Cancellation is free of charge until 72 hours before pick up time. For cancellations made after this date, a cancellation fee of 50 euros will be charged.
Early Return – There is no refund for early returns.
Rental Extension(s) – Extension(s) to your rental can be arranged at least 24hrs prior to your current contract end date and subjected to availability.
Return of the vehicle – The cost of delivery service of the vehicle to a place other than the was planned previously on the rental contract.
Flight information – For airport pick-ups, it is essential that DRIVE4EVER is provided with the correct flight number and arrival time before departure.
Fines, Penalties and Toll charges– You are responsible for the cost of any parking fines, Toll Charges and other penalties incurred whilst the vehicle is contracted to you. All expenses and other charges inherent in the immobilization of the Car, when it is seized by the police authorities as a result of any unlawful acts whose liability is imputed to the Customer, including the illegal transport of goods.
Lost Keys – DRIVE4EVER will charge up to a maximum of €500 per Key if key(s) are lost or badly damaged.
Wrong Fuel in the car – Fee 500€ plus the cost the eventual repair for the damages caused with inadequate refuelling.
Maintenance and repair of the vehicle – In the event of the vehicle suffering a breakdown, repairs and/or any refunds can only be made by prior agreement between the customer and DRIVE4EVER.
Travel assistance – It is the Customer’s responsibility to pay for towing and on-site assistance, in case of loss or forgetfulness of the key inside the vehicle, immobilization of the vehicle due to lack of battery, exchange or lack of fuel, by flat tire, by accident whose responsibility is assigned to the Driver, and such assistance service is provided on site after the Customer’s request and DRIVE4EVER diagnosis.
Damaged Tyres – The costs of replacing damaged tyres as a result of incorrect use of the vehicle are the responsibility of the customer.
Smoking prohibited – The Driver is forbidden to smoke inside the Car, and the evidence of such conduct implies the payment by the Client of the respective penalty.
Cleaning fee – In the event that the vehicle is in an unacceptable state or requires a special cleaning procedure (removal of odours, animal pollution, liquid spills, stains on upholstery etc.) an additional cleaning fee will be applied up to a maximum of 100 EUR.
Vehicle group/model – We are unable to guarantee a particular make/model of car. The makes/models shown online serves as an example and is for guidance only and may be substituted for an alternative, similar or upgraded car (at no extra cost).
VERY IMPORTANT – It is your responsibility to check the vehicle thoroughly at pick-up/collection and at return.
