At the moment most of our cars are petrol/diesel.
The minimum age to rent a car in Portugal is 21 years old and the driver must hold a full license for at least 2 years with no major infringements. If the driver is under 25, a young driver fee will be applied. An International Driver’s License (IDL) is re quired if the renter’s national driver’s license is not in Roman alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver’s license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present driver’s license and photo at the time of rental.

Within 24 hours after your reservation request, you will receive full confirmation of your reservation.

If you wish to change any details of your online booking, please send us an e mail with your booking ID and the changes 24 hours in advance.

Yes, it’s possible, services carried out between 21:00 and 07:00 are subject to a nightly surcharge of 20 euros.

Yes. When booking your car rental, select the amount of additional drivers you want. An extra price per rental contract will be charged for each additional driver.

Yes. You can choose them as extras in the booking form, where their prices are shown, or you can ask for them at the counter.

You are only allowed to drive in Spain if you select the extra insurance for Spain in the booking form. Other countries beside Portugal and Spain are not allowed.

We accept cash in Euros and major credit cards VISA, Mastercard. We do not accept American Express payments.

The security deposit is an amount determined by DRIVE4EVER according to the car chosen and the characteristics of the rental. It is retained on your credit card for the duration of the hire period and returned when the car is handed over. The amount is not debited from the invoice, it is not charged by DRIVE4EVER, just blocked.

The deadline for unlocking may vary according to the credit card company. Once the vehicle has been inspected, DRIVE4EVER asks for it to be unblocked as soon as the car is returned, after which it is the responsibility of the credit card company to make th e amount available again.

If you wish to extend the hire period, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance and pay the relevant amount. If you do not do so, we will consider the car to be missing and we will report it to the authorities.

No contract may be extended by telephone or by any other means of electronic communication.

Under no circumstances may the amount deposited be used to extend the Contract.

If the Contract cannot be extended because there are no vehicles available or for any other reason, the Customer must return the vehicle on the agreed date and time at the location stated in the contract.

When requesting the extension of the Contract, it may be necessary, depending on the initial conditions of the Contract, to draw up a new contract, at which point the current Contract will be considered terminated.

You must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel when it was collected. Missing fuel will be charged on your return.

No, if the car is returned smelling of tobacco, a cleaning fee will be charged.

Standard Drive4Ever’s car hire insurance includes Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with an excess fee according to the vehicle type; Third Party liability (TP); Theft Waiver (TW) and breakdown assistance. The excess fee is shown in the car listing under ratin g details & conditions.

SCDW does not cover damage to glass, rims and tyres, optics and headlights, rear view mirrors, as well as damage to the underside and top of the bodywork and the interior of the vehicle.

All damage resulting from misuse of the vehicle, as well as all costs of repair and compensation for the time the vehicle is stranded, are the sole responsibility of the customer, even in the case of a Super CDW subscription.

TWL insurance covers tyres, locks and windows.

Yes. To do so you must purchase the full insurance package (SCDW and TWL). By subscribing the Full insurance, the CUSTOMER reduces the value of the excess depending on the group and characteristics of the rental. A deposit based on the rental period can be requested at any time.

You should always fill in a Friendly Car Accident Report (DAAA) and call the authorities (112). You must present yourself at DRIVE4EVER and provide us with all the information relating to the documentation of the accident (DAAA and the Auto Accident Report provided by the authorities).

If there is damage to the vehicle for which you are responsible during the hire, you will be charged the amount corresponding to the repair up to the maximum limit of the excess, except in cases of negligence.

Any damage to the vehicle caused by the driver’s negligence (burnt clutch, damage due to driving on unpaved roads, parking the vehicle on high kerbs, lost or damaged key, etc.) will be charged the full cost of the repair. Full insurance does not cover negl igence.

Parking tickets and any violation of traffic rules are the contract holder’s responsibility that should settle before returning the car. Fines received in DRIVE4EVER office after the end of the rental contract holder is identified with the competent author ities. Identify customers to the local authorities for parking and speeding fines involves a charge of an administration fee of 25€.

Similarly, all the values associated with tolls, SCUT’s or other similar occurred during the rental are the responsibility of the driver. In Portugal, many of its roads will be subject to an electronic toll collection procedure, which does not allow manual payment at the time of passing. The corresponding amount will be debited from the customer’s credit card within 15 days of returning the vehicle.

Yes. For the 125cc, you need to meet the following criteria:

Have an A1 class licence; Have a B class licence for more than 5 years; Have a B class licence and be more than 25.

No. We have the A2 and the A22 nearby and you are not allowed to use them. If you enter one by mistake, we will apply a fee. But our main roads are fine you don´t need to worry about it.

Hire includes: 1 helmet, third party insurance. The hire of an electric scooter also includes: 1 charger, 1 charging adapter + payment card and instructions for charging at the hotel/apartment or on public devices. The use of public charging stations will be charged to the customer’s card up to 15 days after the end of the rental.
